Joe Nethery (he/him)

FOUNDER/PRINCIPAL

Joe is in his seventeenth year of practice. His hobbies include running a business, chasing children, and getting grumpy about the Blue Jays.

Raida Chowdhury (she/her)

PLANNER

Raida is a recent graduate from the University of Waterloo School of Planning with a diverse background in provincial policy research and municipal planning. She is as passionate about producing thorough, impactful land use policy as she is about iced matchas.

Bea Kwak (she/her)

MARKETING AND ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGER

Olga Bea Kwak is a marketing, communications, and administrative professional, recently graduating from the Master's of Public Administration program in the School of Policy Studies at Queen's University in 2024. Dedicated to the arts, better city building, and community development, Bea actively seeks opportunities for equity and champions women's, trans, and queer rights, as well as fair access to housing, healthcare, and income for all. Fascinated by AI, Bea brings a dynamic and forward-thinking approach to her work.

Nancy Reid (she/her)

MCIP RPP, PRINCIPAL PLANNER

With nearly 20 years in planning, Nancy's passion for positivity and inclusivity empowers every project. When the wanderlust strikes, Nancy is always ready to hit the road, discovering quirky roadside attractions and hidden gems in every corner of North America.

Denise Landry (she/her)

MCIP RPP, PRINCIPAL PLANNER

Denise Landry is a Registered Professional Planner with 13 years of experience in the municipal sector at both the local and regional municipal levels. Denise has transitioned to the role of Principal Planner with Nethery Planning where she will utilize her skills to support municipalities and the development community in the creation of places and spaces for everyone. She believes in giving back to the planning profession through her mentorship and guidance to new planners entering the field.

Marcus Ruggiero (he/him)

PLANNER

With an Undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies and pursuing a Master of Environmental Studies in planning, Marcus brings a wealth of knowledge to creating sustainable communities, a field he is very passionate about. Outside of the office, you can find Marcus trekking mountains whether it be the Hamilton Mountain or Mount Washington.

Kristina Treumuth (she/her)

BUSINESS MANAGER

Kristina's background includes early childhood education, human resources management and fashion design as well as over fifteen years of experience in the municipal and provincial government sectors. She believes in the importance of continuous improvement and strives to build authentic relationships in both a professional and personal capacity. Kristina applies her multifaceted experience to managing the operational needs of the Nethery Planning team, powered by espresso and inspired by her latest thrifting adventure.

Kirstin Topping (she/her)

JUNIOR PLANNER

Kirstin is currently attending the University of Waterloo School of Planning, specializing in Land Development Planning. She has an expansive background in analyzing planning policy in both the public and private realms. Her passion beyond her work, however, lies in creating art and working through the world’s longest movie watchlist.

Alison Luoma (she/her)

MCIP, RPP, PLE, ASSOCIATE

Alison has 27 years of experience as a professional planner. Over that time, she has gained a breadth of planning experience particularly in relation to policy planning, specialized planning studies, zoning, municipal planning services, planning litigation, and expropriations. Ms. Luoma has provided planning services to government agencies, municipalities, school boards, non-profit organizations, landowners, and large corporations.
